Vintage
Barbies have side glancing eyes as it was considered most unladylike and
forward for a teenage model of the time to look directly at anyone
or because making eye-contact with people when you
don't wear knickers and are dating your brother is not a great idea. |

Her
much disputed figure was never meant to correctly portray a female body, the
original clothing made for her bulked at the waist so she needed a
tinier waistline to actually look normal dressed in those,
vintage fashions.
OK maybe that almost made sense once upon a time but
they stopped making vintage fashions in 1966! Now, want to go back 10
minutes and think of another answer?
The body of a Barbie doll is so out of
proportion from a natural woman, especially those tiny feet, that if she were real she couldn't walk
upright and would be on all fours.

Roberts, she was named after the daughter of
Mattel founders Ruth and Elliot Handler, their son’s name is Ken, the name

and we should let our children play boyfriend and girlfriend with a brother
and sister because..?) |

Barbie, sold for $3 US (or at least they tried to, but
she didn't sell well so probably got shifted on sale for 99c.)
The first Black
& Hispanic Barbies
were introduced in 1980 (21 years after the first
white Barbie! Not happy Mattel!)
Barbie’s first career was as a teenage
fashion model, she has since had other careers including astronaut, rock

friends sold since 1959 would circle the earth more than seven times
(can we please, please do that and hopefully they'd
all head off and orbit the planet Pluto.)
Every second three Barbie dolls are sold
somewhere in the world (each second 3 stupid people are born somewhere in the world
and some just have stupidity thrust upon them.)
